Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s Human Resources Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Team Member Relations Analyst for our manufacturing facility in Buffalo, West Virginia (Toyota Motor Manufacturing West Virginia, “TMMWV”).

Reporting to the Team Member Relations Manager, this role supports positive team member relations and effective management practices across TMMWV. The Team Member Relations Analyst serves as a trusted resource to leaders and team members by advising on appropriate resolutions to workplace concerns; developing, coordinating, and delivering practical training and ongoing guidance on HR policies, systems, and procedures; and promoting their consistent understanding and application. This role also answers questions, clarifies roles and expectations, and provides resources that help leaders and team members confidently navigate workplace processes.

This onsite position is based at our manufacturing facility in Buffalo, West Virginia. The selected candidate will be expected to reside within commutable distance of this location. This is a mid-shift position, with regular working hours of 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Other hours or overtime may occasionally be required based on business needs.

What you’ll be doing

Provide accessible, timely, support to team members by listening to concerns, answering questions, connecting them with appropriate resources, and helping navigate workplace needs.

  • Serve as a trusted partner to leaders by interpreting and consistently applying company policies, procedures, and applicable employment laws.
  • Coach supervisors and leaders through team member relations matters, including workplace concerns, conflict resolution, performance issues, and corrective action.
  • Conduct prompt, fair, and thorough investigations into team member concerns; document findings and recommend appropriate resolutions, aligned with policy.
  • Maintain a visible presence on the shop floor to build relationships, assess workplace climate, and identify emerging concerns or trends.
  • Partner with leadership to develop and implement practical countermeasures that address recurring issues and strengthen the team member experience.
  • Monitor changes in employment laws, regulatory requirements, and company standards to support compliant HR practices and reporting.
  • Analyze team member relations data and key performance indicators, identify trends, and communicate actionable insights to HR and operational leadership.
  • Support the development and delivery of training for leaders and team members on HR policies, systems, procedures, and effective people-management practices.
  • Coordinate and lead other HR programs and projects as assigned.
  • Model the Toyota Way by demonstrating respect, accountability, continuous improvement, and sound judgment in every interaction.

What you bring

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or closely related field, OR equivalent professional work experience in Human Resources or manufacturing environment.

  • 2+ years of experience in employee relations or other HR specific function.
  • Working knowledge of laws and regulations governing labor relations, employee treatment (i.e., EEOC and FMLA) and wage and hours.
  • Experience developing and consistently implementing HR policies.
  • Project management experience including initiating, leading, managing, and reporting out status of project.
  • Ability and willingness to work a mid-shift schedule of 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
  • Availability to work other hours, overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
