Technical Digital Lead

Boeing Defence UK is seeking an experienced Technical Digital Lead to support and drive a new digital transformation programme and to oversee the existing Digital work strand within Product Support.

This role will provide technical leadership and oversight across the digital domain, helping define and implement the future Product Support digital ecosystem, associated governance, and data exploitation capability.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that digital outputs meet customer requirements, support wider Product Support needs, and align with Boeing standards, behaviours, and delivery expectations.

You will work closely with US-based teams, internal business functions, and cross-functional stakeholders including IT, DSA, and Product Support teams to support the successful delivery of digital capabilities that transform the way Product Support operates.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Provide technical leadership and oversight of all digital outputs within Product Support.
  • Work collaboratively with US teams to support the delivery of the new Product Support digital ecosystem.
  • Lead technical oversight of data exploitation activities at leadership level.
  • Ensure digital outputs are aligned to customer needs and support the broader Product Support organisation.
  • Liaise with IT, DSA, and other internal business areas to ensure effective integration, governance, and delivery.
  • Oversee the development of advanced support requirements, technical objectives, definitions, work breakdown structures, master schedules, implementation plans, and integration plans.
  • Support the development of cost estimates across multiple digital projects and research and development efforts.
  • Identify opportunities for new processes and provide technical input into the development and maintenance of current processes, technical data, and procedures.
  • Lead the creation of presentations, status reviews, and programme reporting as required.
  • Monitor execution of support programmes to ensure timely delivery, quality, and compliance.
  • Review programme and engineering change proposals and provide assessment of product support impact.
  • Ensure delivery against contract requirements with a strong focus on quality, regulatory compliance, and business objectives.
  • Promote effective collaboration across teams and demonstrate leadership aligned to Boeing behaviours and values.
  • Support understanding and integration of Product Support pillars across the digital transformation programme.

Basic Qualifications (Skills/Experience):

  • Eligibility for UK SC Security Clearance: Applicants must be able to obtain the necessary clearance.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

Preferred Qualifications (Skills/Experience):

  • Understanding of Product Support pillars and their application within a defence or aerospace environment.
  • Strong technical leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Chartered Engineer status desirable, or significant relevant experience with a willingness to work toward CEng.
  • Strong experience in digital transformation, or technical programme delivery.
  • Proven ability to support delivery of high-quality outputs to schedule and in compliance with requirements.
  • Experience in data exploitation, digital tools, governance, or related technical disciplines.
  • Proven ability to support delivery of high-quality outputs to schedule and in compliance with requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience working on complex IT or digital programmes, with programme management exposure desirable.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and reporting skills.
