  • We are seeking a Technical Product Manager, Senior Advisor to own strategy, investment, delivery, and outcomes for a full product line or large platform domain. This leader sets multi-year direction, converts trends and risks into funded roadmaps, coordinates delivery across organizations, and drives improvements in customer value, quality, scalability, resilience, and efficiency.

This role may serve as the Technical Product Manager for our batch delivered products. The TPM partners with Solutions, Data Science, Analytics, Compliance, Engineering, and Operations teams to deliver scalable credit risk solutions that support lenders, consumers, and enterprise customers.

Success requires strategic judgment, technical fluency, and influence in a complex matrix. The TPM Senior Advisor aligns Director-level stakeholders, coaches managers and senior individual contributors, and frames decisions with clear options, risks, and recommendations.

Why the role exists: Turn product strategy into coordinated technical delivery for complex, multi-team initiatives, specifically for our batch credit risk products.

Outcomes it drives: Predictable delivery, scalable and compliant solutions, stronger adoption, reliability, customer value, and growth.

  • What the person owns: The roadmap, priorities, dependencies, risks, cross-functional decisions, release readiness, launch, and continuous improvement for batch credit risk products.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
  • Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

Product Line Strategy & Complex Delivery Leadership

  • Set integrated, multi-year direction for a product line or platform, balancing demand, capacity, funding, dependencies, and outcomes.
  • Own a capacity-constrained roadmap with clear waterlines, sequencing, KPIs, investment choices, and readiness criteria.
  • Resolve cross-organizational priorities using value, impact, risk, urgency, feasibility, and opportunity cost.
  • Create planning mechanisms that improve transparency, predictability, investment allocation, and value realization.

Cross Functional Program Leadership

  • Lead complex delivery across Solutions, Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Compliance, Operations, Architecture, Customer Success, and support teams.
  • Turn roadmap commitments into outcome-based plans with clear milestones, owners, forecasts, dependencies, and success measures.
  • Remove structural blockers and maintain senior stakeholder alignment through ambiguity and change.
  • Establish reusable governance, operating models, and KPI-based cadences that improve delivery performance.
  • Provide leaders clear visibility into delivery health, risks, forecasts, decisions, and corrective actions.

Product Development Lifecycle Ownership

  • Own delivery from strategy and commitment through launch, adoption, modernization, and retirement.
  • Maintain traceability across outcomes, roadmap commitments, requirements, delivery plans, releases, and results.
  • Re-plan using customer feedback, KPIs, market and regulatory changes, risk, capacity, and readiness.
  • Lead discovery and solution shaping, aligning teams on outcomes, architecture, trade-offs, and sequencing.
  • Enforce readiness, completion, quality, approval, and release standards.
  • Use retrospectives and root-cause analysis to reduce rework and recurring delivery friction.

Quality, Risk & Operational Readiness

  • Anticipate systemic delivery, technical, operational, security, compliance, regulatory, and customer risks.
  • Establish risk, quality, and readiness mechanisms, including mitigation plans, escalation paths, release gates, and readiness reviews.
  • Use data-driven risk assessments to influence architecture, investment, operating, and delivery decisions.
  • Partner with engineering to monitor reliability, defects, technical debt, stability, and post-launch outcomes.
  • Drive improvements that reduce recurring exposure, incidents, rework, and customer impact.

Technical Expectations

The Technical Product Manager understands distributed systems, cloud scaling, data flows, integration patterns, and platform constraints well enough to guide architecture and connect modernization to business strategy.

  • Partner with architecture and engineering leaders on target-state design, modernization, and reusable platform capabilities.
  • Guide decisions on cloud scale, resilience, performance, data processing, integrations, and migration sequencing.
  • Balance customer value, security, compliance, reliability, time to value, and total cost of ownership.
  • Ensure coherent data flows, APIs, events, batch processes, and integration patterns.
  • Use technical and operational measures to steer investment and communicate trade-offs to senior stakeholders.
  • Promote simplification, automation, observability, reusable patterns, and legacy retirement.

Leadership Expectations

Leads through influence and ambiguity, coaches managers and senior individual contributors, and aligns Director-level stakeholders on direction, investment, trade-offs, and accountability.

  • Set clear strategic and architectural guardrails while empowering teams to decide and deliver.
  • Coach leaders on product and systems thinking, prioritization, influence, risk, and outcomes.
  • Build commitment through evidence, transparency, and clear trade-offs.
  • Maintain trust, momentum, and outcome focus through significant change.

Required Knowledge And Experiences

Qualifications

  • Typically 10+ years in technical product management, engineering, architecture, systems analysis, data platforms, or related roles.
  • Experience in financial services, insurance, or banking; bachelor’s degree required.
  • Proven ownership of a product line or large platform, including multi-year strategy, funded roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
  • Success leading complex cross-organizational delivery and senior stakeholder alignment through change.
  • Strong executive communication and decision framing.
  • Ability to guide decisions involving distributed systems, cloud scaling, data flows, integrations, resilience, and modernization.
  • Experience using KPIs to identify bottlenecks and improve technology, processes, and operating models.
  • Experience with data-intensive financial products, credit risk, consumer reporting, scorecards, predictive models, or alternative data.
  • Preferred: FCRA and model-governance knowledge; multi-source data products; SAFe PO/PM or related certification; GCP or AWS; credit data, scores, or attributes; lending or financial-decisioning platforms; and legacy-to-cloud modernization.

Expectations in the First 90 Days

  • Build a clear view of product strategy, customers, economics, architecture, operations, obligations, commitments, and risks.
  • Establish decision paths with senior business and technology partners.
  • Assess the roadmap, funding, KPIs, delivery health, modernization path, dependencies, and key bottlenecks.
  • Confirm near-term priorities and outline the multi-year direction and improvement agenda.

What You’ll Accomplish Beyond 90 Days

  • Own a funded multi-year roadmap with clear investments, outcomes, dependencies, and measures.
  • Lead cross-organizational delivery aligned to architecture, sequencing, risk, readiness, and business outcomes.
  • Run a KPI-based rhythm that surfaces bottlenecks, drives accountability, and produces structural improvements.
  • Advance platform modernization with architecture and engineering leaders.
  • Influence Director-level stakeholders and coach managers and senior individual contributors.
  • Improve customer value, adoption, delivery flow, reliability, compliance, efficiency, and total cost of ownership.
