Mō te tūranga | About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator , to join our Civil Construction team based out of our office Ranui, Auckland.

Working closely within the Technical Services team, you’ll be the link between design, delivery, and site teams, working closely with internal specialists, contractors, and supervisors to keep temporary works properly managed from design brief through to permit to dismantle. This is a role for someone who knows their stuff, backs high standards, and is confident speaking up when it counts.

This is a key role that helps make sure good work gets done the right way, with no shortcuts when it comes to safety, design assurance, and compliance.

Core Focus Areas:

Procedure & Register Control | Design & Assurance | Inspections & Permits | Change Control & Stop Work

In addition to the above you will:

  • Implement and enforce the Temporary Works Management Procedure across the project.
  • Establish and maintain the Temporary Works Register, including categorisation, design status, inspections, and permits.
  • Coordinate temporary works activities and communication across site teams, designers, checkers, and specialist contractors.
  • Prepare clear design briefs that capture site conditions, loads, constraints, and construction sequencing.
  • Confirm temporary works are correctly risk categorised, independently checked, certified, and aligned with permanent works and consent requirements.
  • Inspect site conditions and review relevant safety documentation before erection or loading begins.
  • Manage permits to load, inspect, monitor, maintain, and approve dismantling of temporary works.
  • Enforce change control and stop any work that departs from approved designs or creates unacceptable risk.

Ko wai mātou | About us

At Fulton Hogan, good work is about more than what we build. It’s how we work together, back each other, and keep moving forward. We’re flat, friendly, and low ego. Titles matter less than ideas, and the best ideas can come from anywhere.

We take the work seriously, not ourselves. That means a team environment that’s welcoming and down to earth, with high expectations, honest feedback, and support to grow. When the pressure is on, we switch on and deliver. That’s what good work looks like here.

How to apply

If you’re ready to bring your temporary works expertise to a team that values good people, smart thinking, and serious standards when it counts, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now.
