We deliver solutions that help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression, creating a safer, more secure world. Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.
Test Solutions Engineering is one of the most dynamic, hands-on, and fast-paced environments within Raytheon. As our programs ramp up under new Heads of Agreement (HOAs) to accelerate production, our factories are moving faster than ever — and Test is at the center of making that possible! We design and deliver the test capabilities that ensure every product leaving our lines is ready for the mission.
For early-career engineers, this is a rare opportunity to jump directly into impactful engineering from day one. You’ll work with cutting-edge test instrumentation, automation technologies, and multidisciplinary teams, engaging in work that is both technically challenging and incredibly rewarding. The environment moves quickly — designs evolve, test needs shift, and factory demand accelerates — and you’ll be right in the middle of that momentum.
Most importantly, the mission behind the work is noble. The test solutions you create ensure our systems perform flawlessly when they matter most. What you do here directly contributes to the safety of our warfighters and allies. This is meaningful engineering with real-world consequence — and your contributions truly matter.
This is an onsite position; work will be done onsite at the Tewksbury, MA and Andover, MA campuses.
What You Will Do
- Work hands-on within multidisciplinary engineering teams to design, develop, and integrate test equipment for Raytheon products.
- Create production test stations, interface test adapters (ITAs), harnesses, and supporting test hardware.
- Produce technical drawings, schematics, and circuit analyses that guide test system development.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues throughout the design, development, and integration lifecycle — both independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
- Experience in electrical troubleshooting, analysis, and/or testing.
- Experience with common test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, network analyzers, and/or power meters.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience developing test equipment for factory or military depot environments.
- Experience designing, testing, and/or integrating digital, mixed-signal, analog, power, and/or RF systems.
- Familiarity with common hardware interfaces and data protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, RS 422)
- Experience with COTS test instruments and automated test development.
- Experience using integrated development environments and debugging tools.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and manage workload independently.
- Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
- Root-cause analysis, or system troubleshooting.
