The ASX team brings together talented people from a diverse range of disciplines.
We run critical market infrastructure, with 1 in 3 people employed within technology. Yet we have a unique complexity of roles across a range of disciplines such as operations, program delivery, financial products, investor engagement, risk and compliance.
We’re proud to foster a workplace where diversity is celebrated and inclusion is part of our everyday culture. About the team:
Support the TPRM Lead by executing the day-to-day supplier risk management activities for ASX’s most critical third-party relationships.
This team is responsible for the frameworks and capability that underpin the new end-to-end Third Party Risk Management function at ASX. You will be responsible for conducting third-party risk reviews, supporting governance activities, and maintaining risk management tools. You will collaborate with internal teams, business units and senior management to collect required information and ensure compliance. You will also ensure the third-party risk management frameworks and processes across ASX are challenged, improved, and consistently applied.
What you will be doing:
How we do things at ASX is just as important as what we do. This means, if you're a people leader, you will be responsible for both the core duties outlined below, and providing leadership to your team to ensure we foster a collaborative, inclusive team environment, where people feel empowered, accountable, and deeply connected (as outlined in our Leadership Principles).
Supplier risk assessments: Conduct ongoing third-party risk reviews and due diligence for assigned suppliers (including participant and issuer dependencies). Gather and analyse supplier data (financials, questionnaires, audit reports, etc.) to assess risk levels. Update and maintain the third-party inventory with appropriate risk tier classifications (noting criticality and concentration).
Contract and performance monitoring: Verify that SLAs/contract terms are complete and align with ASX’s requirements (security, BCP, privacy clauses). Track key risk indicators and service performance metrics; flag any deviations or incidents for escalation. Ensure evidence of compliance is archived and audit-ready.
Data & reporting: Maintain risk management tools and dashboards. Prepare regular reports on supplier risk status and any issues found. Support responses to internal or external audits and regulatory inquiries related to third-party oversight.
Collaboration: Work closely with Procurement and IT teams to collect required information from suppliers. Ensure third parties meet ASX’s policy obligations (e.g. cybersecurity measures, privacy controls, business continuity plans) as set out in ASX’s Supplier Code. Participate in contract intake or renewal meetings, providing risk analysis input.
Governance support: Assist in preparing materials for TPRM committee meetings. Help document and refine the TPRM processes (e.g. updating checklists, workflows).
What you will bring:
Must have
Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management, procurement, audit or related roles (financial services experience preferred). Familiarity with third-party/supplier risk concepts.
Strong analytical and organisational skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, BI/dashboard software).
Knowledge of regulatory/compliance expectations for outsourcing (e.g. operational risk standards, data protection).
Nice to have:
Relevant certifications or a willingness to obtain them are advantageous.
We make hiring decisions based on your skills, capabilities and experience, and how you’ll help us to live our values. We encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet all the criteria of this role.
If you need any adjustments during the application or interview process to help you present your best self, please let us know at careers@asx.com.au.
At ASX Group, our diverse workforce is essential to build and maintain a fair and dynamic marketplace. We support flexible working and offer hybrid working options. Even if our roles are advertised as full-time, we encourage you to apply if you are interested in part-time or other flexible working arrangements.
We will arrange for successful candidates to have background checks, including reference and police checks, completed as part of the on-boarding process.
To be considered for this position, candidates must be legally authorised to work in Australia on a permanent basis without any restrictions.
