Help get better trained personnel to the front line faster – Your role will be to deliver training across Marine Engineering Mechanical Training group focussing on the diagnosis, repair, operation and maintenance of a ship’s auxiliary equipment and systems.

Job Description:

What you’ll be doing

  • Deliver Mechanical Marine Engineering training on ship auxiliary systems in line with the Sultan Training Plan
  • Build strong relationships with customers and colleagues within the Marine Engineering Electrical training area.
  • Maintain and update training materials, assess coursework, and provide constructive feedback to learners.
  • Apply best practice to drive quality improvements across Royal Navy training programmes.
  • Ensure learner safety, progression, and achievement of KPIs and SLAs during all training phases, including simulated environments.
  • Collaborate with Learning & Development teams to personalise learning journeys and maintain your CPD portfolio.

What we’re looking for

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications

  • Minimum Level 3 Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proficient in the use of IT (hardware/software) within the workplace.
  • Competent Mechanical hand skills.

Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications

Any experience in Electrical Engineering would be highly beneficial

This role is offered on a term time basis working 45 weeks per year, with non-working weeks taken 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 3 weeks in August. The salary will therefore be pro rata’d and calculated to include contractual annual leave entitlement and bank holidays.
