Greenberg Traurig’s Philadelphia office is seeking a Transactional Associate with 3-6 years of experience to join its niche environmental risk management team. We offer a competitive compensation and an excellent benefits package.

Practice Summary: The practice focuses on the management and mitigation of environmental risks in connection with the acquisition, development, financing and sale of environmentally impacted real estate and businesses. This is a transactionally-focused group that: (i) performs environmental due diligence for real estate and M&A transactions; and (ii) structures, negotiates and documents transactional solutions to environmental risks through a combination of manuscripted specialty lines insurance products and M&A and real estate contracts (including purchase agreements, loan agreements, liability transfer agreements and ancillary documents). These are high demand, value-add services with lots of original drafting, deal driven negotiations and constant client interactions.

Job Requirements: Candidates should have 3-6 years of transactional environmental experience at other large or boutique law firms. Candidates must also be admitted to the PA bar or eligible for admission to the PA bar. The position requires residence in the Philadelphia office. To apply, please submit your resume, cover letter, recent writing sample, and law school transcripts (unofficial transcripts are acceptable).

Submissions from search firms will only be accepted through our web portal; for access, contact Amanda Lonergan .

We will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records and will conduct a criminal background check if a conditional offer is extended in a manner consistent with applicable federal, state, and local laws. This is applicable to the California Fair Chance Act, Los Angeles and San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, and the Philadelphia Fair Chance Hiring Law for Employers.
