Trauma Therapy Practice Seeking Passionate Supervisors
Do you love mentoring others? Are you passionate about supporting the next generation of therapists?
We are dedicated to providing excellent trauma treatment for our clients and excellent supervision for our clinicians. We go beyond trauma informed care and support healing from trauma. We are a group of dedicated, EMDR trained clinicians. We believe that when our clinicians have curious, compassionate, and knowledgeable supervisors, then clients are able to heal and communities also heal. We want to empower you in your personal strengths as a therapist. We work to get to know you and match you with the right fit clients. We strive to communicate clearly to create a stable environment for you to thrive as a clinician. We offer a group for our clinical supervisors to connect and collaborate. You don’t have to supervise alone!
This job is for you if:
You love a team environment. Our Clinical Supervisors work together on a team. We meet twice monthly and connect via chat frequently. When we encounter a tricky situation with a supervisee, we work together to find the most ethical solution. We also provide peer consultations groups for you and your supervisees to get support. Your supervisees will receive the same trauma training as you!
You lead. We expect our Clinical Supervisors to lead inside and outside of supervision. We believe that there is a lot of power in setting a warm, positive tone.
You are curious. Do you love learning? We are always learning. From our clients, from our training, and from each other. We offer training in EMDR and additional training to become a Trauma Specialist.
You are discerning. As a Clinical Supervisor, you will facilitate interviews. This will allow you to give direct feedback about our candidates and will give you agency over who you supervise. We want you to help us select the best trauma therapists.
You are relational. The therapeutic relationship is our most powerful tool. Good EMDR cannot exist without a warm therapeutic environment that supports a felt sense of safety.
You love deep work. We support identifying the root of the problem rather than treating symptoms.
You believe that clear is kind. We believe in giving our supervisees clear, compassionate, and direct feedback. It can be tough to have these conversations. Our group of supervisors support each other through it.
You are strengths based. We believe in the brain’s innate ability to heal. We empower each other and our clients in our work. We empower our supervisees to trust themselves and work toward therapeutic confidence.
You are self-motivated. We want to empower you to work independently. You will need to complete your notes within 24 hours of the session and feel comfortable creating your own treatment plan.
You are human. We need human connection now more than ever. We want to work with excellent clinicians who also bring their uniqueness to our community. Are you more than a little obsessed with your pets or your plants? Do you love nature? Do you relax by watching Law & Order or by watching the latest reality series? We would love to get to know you and connect with you! Identify an interest of yours in your application if you read this whole job description.
We offer our employees the following:
We provide benefits (medical, dental, vision, short term/long term disability and life) to full-time staff, including a 401k match, Bi-monthly Wellness Stipend and discounted pet insurance.
Training in EMDR therapy and additional training in trauma to become a Trauma Specialist.
Referrals are provided and new clients are scheduled by our stellar intake team.
We do all the billing and have a practice manager.
We offer free clinical consultation for all of our clinicians.
We provide ongoing training and training benefits.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree in counseling or social work ; and an active, unrestricted license (LCPC, LCSW-C)
Available to hold at least 25 patient sessions per week, provided such sessions are available and referred/scheduled by Trauma Specialists.
Have experience in treatment planning and excellent documentation.
Be compassionate, inclusive, self-motivated, and relatable (a great sense of humor is a plus!)
Have a desire to treat trauma effectively.
Other Qualification Preferences:
Board approved Clinical Supervisor
Actively pursuing your EMDR Certification, since supervision at TSMD heavily relies on being able to support clinicians with EMDR therapy.
Prior experience providing clinical supervision
Prior experience in a private practice setting.
Have a specialization in treating trauma.
Current approval as an in-network provider with BCBS (or ability to be paneled) and other insurance providers.
If this sounds like an ideal position for you, we want to hear from you!
