Position Summary

The Treasury Management Officer is responsible for driving treasury management revenue growth through the acquisition of new commercial relationships and the expansion of treasury services within existing client portfolios. This role serves as a consultative sales partner to Commercial Banking teams by delivering treasury solutions that improve clients' cash flow management, operational efficiency, fraud mitigation, and payment processes.

The Treasury Management Sales Officer develops deep client relationships, identifies opportunities, designs customized treasury solutions, and manages the sales process from discovery through implementation. Success is measured through fee income growth, deposit generation, client acquisition, treasury product penetration, and portfolio retention.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Solicit, establish, and maintain commercial treasury management banking relationships for the bank with a focus on treasury management products and core deposit growth.
  • Develop and execute a strategic calling plan to generate new treasury management revenue opportunities within existing and prospective commercial relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with Commercial Banking relationship managers on joint sales calls and business development activities.
  • Provide training and continuing education to banking partners as needed.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of treasury management opportunities to achieve annual sales and revenue goals.
  • Conduct client needs assessments to identify cash management, payments, receivables, liquidity, and fraud prevention opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations, proposals, and treasury solution recommendations.
  • Negotiate pricing and service agreements within established bank guidelines.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, payment technologies, and treasury best practices.
  • Strengthen client relationships through regular account reviews and treasury strategy discussions.
  • Facilitate a seamless transition from sales to implementation and onboarding.
  • Achieve established goals for Treasury fee income, Deposit growth, and Product sales
  • Maintain accurate activity, pipeline, and sales documentation.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Microsoft Office proficiency including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.

Education and/or Experience

  • BS/BA degree in Business or Finance preferred
  • Minimum of 3-7 years of applicable experience
  • Proven success in consultative sales and business development.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

CTP or other industry designation is preferred, not required
