Job Description:
At Job Duck, we are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and enjoys supporting attorneys through every stage of case development. In this role, you will analyze records, assist with discovery, coordinate case-related communications, and help keep legal matters organized and moving forward. The ideal candidate is professional, proactive, and comfortable handling sensitive conversations with empathy while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. Compensation Range: 1,150 to 1,220 USD/month
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Prepare chronologies, summaries, and reports to support case development.
Conduct legal research and locate court rules, statutes, and regulations.
Review and analyze medical, employment, business, construction, and other case-related records.
Coordinate with attorneys and legal assistants to ensure efficient workflow and case progress.
Monitor case progress and maintain litigation plans.
Prepare subpoena packages and supporting documentation.
Manage discovery databases and document collections.
Draft discovery requests and assist with discovery responses.
Communicate with clients, witnesses, and experts to obtain information and documentation.
Conduct investigations related to claims, defenses, and damages.
Organize, review, categorize, and maintain document productions.
Requirements:
Strong legal research and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
Strong organizational and case management abilities
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Empathy and professionalism when communicating with clients and witnesses
Litigation support experience
Discovery management knowledge
Document review and organization skills
Long-term commitment and reliability
US Law firm experience required
Work Shift:
8:30 AM - 5:30 PM [EST][EDT] (United States of America)
