The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Prior experience as a rental car damage inspector, insurance appraiser/adjuster, collision/body shop estimator, auction vehicle inspector, dealership vehicle appraiser, or related inspection/appraiser experience is preferred.

Responsibilities for Vehicle Inspector/Condition Report Writer

• •Review vehicle inspection data and photos to write detailed condition reports.
• •Identify damage, wear, or discrepancies using guidelines and industry standards provided.
• •Ensure reports meet internal quality control standards and client requirements.
• •Work with field staff and inspection teams to clarify findings when needed.
• •Submit timely, polished reports that support vehicle sales, leasing, or valuation processes.
• •Complete 20 to 30 condition reports daily
• •Perform other duties as necessary.

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities for Vehicle Inspector/Condition Report Writer:

• •Strong written communication skills, including grammar, clarity, and attention to detail.
• •Good organizational and time management skills.
• •Able to accurately interpret inspection data, photographs, and vehicle condition checklists.
• •Comfortable working with reporting software, digital platforms, and inspection systems.
• •Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality and accuracy.
• •Able to work outdoors the majority of the time in all weather conditions.
• •Able to pass pre-employment screening.
• •Must be at least 21 years of age.
• •Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• •High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• •Prior vehicle inspection or appraising experience is preferred.
