At inspiring vet care, our people are at the heart of everything we do. As the UK’s number one vet care provider, we're trusted with the care of over 2 million animals, delivering our purpose of healthier animals and happier owners.
Kingston Vets, part of inspirinf vet care, has been caring for pets and supporting owners across the local community for more than 100 years. We’re proud of the reputation we’ve built and continue to grow as a forward-thinking practice with a strong focus on excellent patient care. We’re now looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and experienced team.
A Varied Caseload With Plenty of Opportunity to Grow
You’ll enjoy a varied mix of cats, dogs, rabbits and small furries, with a real emphasis on continuity of care and seeing cases through to a high standard. The role offers a great balance of consultations and surgery, with plenty of routine procedures alongside orthopaedics, dentistry and a variety of interesting cases to keep every day different.
Two Practices, Excellent Facilities and a Great Team
You’ll work across our two purpose-built practices in Yeovil and Sherborne, both offering excellent facilities to support you in delivering high-quality care. These include dedicated dental suites with dental X-ray, digital radiography, ultrasound and laparoscopic equipment, alongside separate cat and dog wards and isolation facilities.
We’re also proud to hold Silver ISFM status, reflecting our commitment to providing a genuinely feline-friendly environment and experience for our patients.
A Supportive Team That Invests in You
You’ll be joining a friendly team of six vets, six RVNs and two SVNs, supported by a dedicated Client Care Team. We also have a visiting orthopaedic specialist, giving you access to additional support with more complex cases as well as a great opportunity to learn and develop your skills.
We’re keen to support our people in building a career around their interests. Whether there’s a particular area of clinical practice you’d like to develop or you’re considering undertaking a certificate, we’ll work with you to support your ambitions and help you make the most of your career with us.
A Work-Life Balance That Works
We’re ideally looking for a full-time vet working 40 hours across four days, including just 1:3 Saturday mornings (8:30am–12:30pm) which will be sole charge.
There are no out-of-hours or on-call requirements, and part-time applications are also welcomed.
