We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Vice President to the Non-Financial Risk (NFR) Unified Categorization Model (UCM) Framework team who is responsible for the governance, design, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the Firm's non-financial risk taxonomies, inventories, and categorization standards. The team drives consistency across the NFR ecosystem by managing taxonomy and inventory changes, establishing governance and data quality standards, and enabling common reporting, analytics, and interoperability across risk management processes and systems. Through close partnership with business, technology, data, and risk stakeholders, the team supports the continued evolution and adoption of a unified NFR data model across the Firm.
In the Legal & Compliance division, we assist the Firm in achieving its business objectives by facilitating and overseeing the Firm’s management of legal, regulatory and franchise risk.

What you'll do in the role:
- UCM Governance and Oversight: Lead the governance and ongoing maintenance of the Firm's Unified Categorization Model (UCM), including non-financial risk taxonomies, inventories, and associated data standards. Ensure changes are appropriately reviewed, challenged, approved, and implemented in accordance with established governance requirements.
- Strategy and Continuous Improvement: Support the evolution of the UCM by identifying opportunities to enhance data quality, usability, reporting capabilities, and alignment across NFR programs, processes, and systems.
- Taxonomy and Inventory Management: Oversee the end-to-end UCM change management process. Partner with stakeholders to evaluate requests, assess impacts, and drive the delivery of approved changes across the NFR ecosystem.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams (e.g., business units, technology, data, and NFR functions) to drive adoption of UCM standards, facilitate effective decision-making, and ensure alignment on strategic taxonomy and inventory initiatives.
- Local Team Oversight: Lead oversight of the UCM team, providing day to day leadership, direction, and escalation support to ensure timely, high quality execution of UCM activities.

What you'll bring to the role:
- At least 6 - 8 relevant years of financial services experience (Big 4/Risk Consulting experience considered).
- Hands on experience working with enterprise risk programs, with a focus on Operational, Compliance, and/or Financial Crimes Risk.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to tailor communication to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience leading, managing, or providing oversight of teams, including setting priorities, providing direction and feedback, and supporting development.
- Proven ability to prioritize in a fast moving, constantly changing environment, to handle multiple tasks and workstreams simultaneously, and work under fast-paced working environment.
- Advanced Excel knowledge and Data analysis skills; experience working with large data sets, including deconstructing data sets and/or their associated queries.
- Highly motivated self-starter able to work independently while collaborating and coordinating as part of a global program.
- An undergraduate degree (B.A., B.S., or equivalent) required.
