Job Overview:

LPL Financial is seeking a strategic, innovative, and results-oriented leader to join the Capital Partners Team as a Vice President, Product Strategy . This role will be responsible for defining and executing the strategy, development, and growth of the Capital Partners suite of advisor solutions.

Capital Partners plays a critical role in LPL's growth strategy by helping advisors navigate some of the most important financial and business decisions of their careers. The team delivers solutions including Partial & Full Book Sales, Brokerage Services, Liquidity & Succession (L&S), Partial Liquidity Solutions, Minority Stake Investments, Revenue Purchase Programs, Asset Referral Programs , and other advisor-focused offerings.

As Vice President, Product Strategy , you will drive product innovation, business growth, and strategic initiatives across the Capital Partners portfolio. Partnering closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, you will identify new opportunities, build business cases, influence investment decisions, and bring innovative solutions to market.

In this role, you will help drive LPL's growth by:

  • Developing and executing a comprehensive product strategy across the Capital Partners platform
  • Identifying and launching new solutions that address advisor lifecycle and succession planning needs
  • Enhancing advisor experiences through continuous product innovation and process improvement

This position is ideal for someone who is entrepreneurial, highly collaborative, data-driven, and passionate about delivering meaningful business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the long-term product vision and roadmap for the Capital Partners suite of solutions.
  • Own the lifecycle management of existing products, ensuring continued relevance, scalability, advisor adoption, and business impact.
  • Identify market opportunities, advisor needs, and industry trends to inform product strategy, innovation, and growth initiatives.
  • Define product requirements, business cases, success metrics, and implementation plans for strategic initiatives.
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, Relationship Management, Technology, Marketing, Legal, and Compliance teams to deliver product enhancements, new offerings, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders across the organization to drive strategic priorities and business outcomes.
  • Evaluate business performance, advisor feedback, and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement, investment, and expansion.
  • Develop executive-level presentations, strategic recommendations, and investment proposals to support decision-making and prioritization.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Capital Partners solutions, advisor succession planning, liquidity strategies, and M&A-related offerings.
  • Drive the development, commercialization, and adoption of innovative advisor-focused products, services, and business models.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to strengthen LPL's position as a leader in advisor lifecycle and succession solutions.

Requirements:

  • 7-10+ years of experience in product strategy, corporate strategy, consulting, sales enablement, or related disciplines.
  • 7-10+ years of experience developing, scaling, commercializing, or managing products, solutions, or business lines.
  • 7+ years' experience in the wealth management industry; familiarity with LPL's platform and advisor solutions strongly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook, including development of executive-level presentations, business cases, and strategic recommendations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.

Core Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of financial services, wealth management, advisor business models, succession planning, and M&A-related solutions.
  • Strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, drive innovation, and deliver business results.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and lead complex cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.
  • Experience building business cases, product roadmaps, growth strategies, and prioritization frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication, executive presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferences:

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, product management tools, and business analytics platforms
  • Experience launching products from concept through commercialization
  • Experience leading enterprise-wide strategic initiatives with measurable business impact

Pay Range:

$145,436.00 - $242,359.00

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
