Warehouse Janitor (Perishable Department)

Job Description

• •Earn $18 per hour
• •1st Shift ( 6:00 am to 2:30 pm)
• •3300 NW 123rd St. Miami, FL

You will contribute by:

• •Providing and maintaining a clean and safe work environment by acting as a custodian / janitor - Performing janitorial duties such as cleaning the entire warehouse, including office space, employee break areas, windows and restrooms
• •Maintaining good housekeeping by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing and waxing floors - Occasionally pulling product out of pick slots using an electric pallet jack to clean with a scrubber and returning product
• •Tending to spills including damaged product, oil, grease, etc.
• •Collecting plastic wrap, shredded paper, and empty boxes to be disposed of properly
• •Following all material handling equipment safe operating procedures
• •Occasional safe lifting of varying case weight, shape, and height levels
• •Having the ab ility and willingness to follow all material handling equipment safe operating procedures

• •Continually Standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift
• •Walking on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet, etc.
• •Frequently lifting of product weighing between 1 - 60 lbs. or more
• •Frequent lifting of product ranging from floor to overhead
• •Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height
• •Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
