Required Qualifications

• •Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in:
• - Finance and Computer Science (Double degree or combined program preferred)
• - Financial Engineering
• - Mathematical Finance
• - Risk Management
• - Quantitative Finance
• - Computer Science with a strong interest in financial markets - - Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or related disciplines
• •Demonstrated interest in both financial markets and technology.
• •Basic understanding of financial concepts such as:
• - Fixed income securities
• - Interest rates and yield curves
• - Investment management
• - Financial markets and products
• - Risk management concepts
• •Basic programming skills, preferably in Python.
• •Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large and complex datasets.
• •Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• •Academic coursework or project experience in both finance and technology disciplines.
• •Familiarity with one or more of the following:
• - Asset Liability Management (ALM)
• - Market risk management
• - Fixed income analytics
• - Financial modeling
• - Quantitative analysis
• •Experience using Python libraries for data analysis (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
• •Experience with databases, data engineering, or data visualization tools.
• •Exposure to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), or Generative AI technologies.
• •Familiarity with software development practices such as Git, testing, and version control.
• •Experience developing analytical, automation, or data-driven solutions through academic or personal projects.

We are particularly interested in students who can combine strong quantitative and technical capabilities with an understanding of financial markets. Candidates from Finance & Computer Science double-degree programs, Financial Engineering, Quantitative Finance, or Risk Management programs with strong programming skills are especially encouraged to apply.

Salary range is expected to be between :

$40,950.00 CAD - $62,450 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. The annual salary will be pro-rated based on the length of the work-term.
