This is a new role and offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:

- Build trusted relationships with client leaders and serve as a senior functional advisor, bringing structured recommendations, leading practices, and a clear point of view
- Plan and facilitate complex design workshops with senior stakeholders to elicit and prioritize requirements, challenge current-state processes, align stakeholders, and drive timely decisions
- Translate business requirements and process designs into scalable Workday configurations, documenting design decisions, assumptions, and impacts
- Manage workstream scope, priorities, deliverables, timelines, risks, issues, and dependencies; provide concise status reporting and escalate with clear options and recommendations
- Coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams, including integrations, data, reporting, security, testing, change management, and project management, to support an integrated solution
- Lead system and user acceptance testing activities, support defect triage and resolution, and maintain quality through disciplined review and validation
- Develop clear client-ready deliverables, including process designs, configuration workbooks, decision logs, test assets, training materials, and operational documentation
- Deliver knowledge transfer and training to client teams and system administrators, enabling sustainable adoption and effective post-go-live operations
- Identify opportunities to improve client outcomes, adoption, and operating effectiveness, and communicate insights to both functional and executive stakeholders
- Contribute to BDO’s Workday delivery methodology, tools, accelerators, and knowledge assets, while coaching junior consultants through feedback, knowledge sharing, and on-the-job development
- Support business development activities, including discovery conversations, solution design, effort estimation, proposal development, and presentations, as required
How do we define success for your role?

- You earn client trust by understanding their industry, priorities, and challenges, and by delivering practical, high-quality advice and outcomes

- You facilitate effective decisions by simplifying complex topics, presenting options and trade-offs, and tailoring communication for functional, technical, and executive audiences
- You collaborate across disciplines, contribute to an inclusive and engaging work environment, and help develop and retain talent through coaching and knowledge sharing
- You identify opportunities to improve service delivery, strengthen client relationships, and contribute to the growth of the Workday practice
- You actively adopt digital tools and innovative delivery approaches and continue to grow your Workday, consulting, and industry expertise through learning and professional development
Your experience and education
- 5+ years of experience delivering enterprise technology or HCM transformations, including multiple full lifecycle implementations with progressive responsibility for functional delivery
- Active Workday certification in one or more of the following: HCM Core, Time Tracking, Absence, U.S. Payroll, Canadian Payroll, Talent, Recruiting, Learning, Benefits, or Compensation
- Demonstrated experience leading a functional workstream, facilitating client workshops, managing deliverables, and supporting decisions with senior stakeholders

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and structured thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex business scenarios into effective process designs and system configurations
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and influence functional, technical, and executive stakeholders
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, collaborate across disciplines, and maintain quality in a deadline-driven project environment
- Commercial awareness and experience contributing to estimates, proposals, demonstrations, or other business development activities are considered assets
- Experience coaching or supporting the development of junior team members is considered an asset
