Xray Technician - Flexi PRN position - Outpatient Surgery

Located in the Professional Office Building #52 on the UAB St. Vincent’s East Campus, the facility now provides 6 operating rooms and 9 procedure rooms and a Cysto room.

SUMMARY

Provides general care to patients in the facility by performing the following duties within the operating room.

• •This is a PRN position. Scheduled as needed.
• •Work schedule - Need availability to be Monday - Friday for PRN
• •Operate C-Arm and/or portable x-ray.
• •Maintain safe environment for patient, staff and physicians during radiologic exams.
• •Prepares rooms and equipment for procedures.
• •Maintains a clean environment by daily cleaning of all work surfaces and equipment.
• •Participates in cleaning all aprons and lead shields as needed.
• •Participates in patient call backs in between cases.
• •Required: Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology. ARRT registered or registry eligible for the ARRT certification in radiography.

*Specialties include: Orthopedic, ENT, Pain, Weight loss, GYN, Urology and Ophthalmology and GI.

Requirements

• •Must have Xray Degree and License
• •BLS required
• •Xray experience or Xray background preferred
• •Looking for availability for Monday-Friday, no weekends!
• •PRN needed to help with heavy case days and to help with vacation day coverage
