How does hirly match jobs to my resume?
hirly reads your resume and scores each live opening against it on six factors: role fit, title match, skills overlap, location, work mode and seniority. Every match comes with the strengths and gaps behind its score. When you open a job in your feed, hirly can also write a full evaluation of it, with a recommendation.
The six factors
In your feed, each match shows how much every factor moved its score, so you can see why one job ranks above another. The free result you get without an account shows the fit as a percentage, with the strongest reasons and the main gap.
- Role fit: whether the job is the kind of work you do
- Title match: how close the job title is to the titles you have held
- Skills overlap: which of the skills the job asks for appear in your resume
- Location: whether the job is where you are, or where you want to work
- Work mode: remote, hybrid or on-site, against what you are looking for
- Seniority: whether the level fits your experience
The written evaluation
When you open a job in your feed, hirly can read the posting in full and write an evaluation of it: a short summary of the fit, a recommendation on whether to apply, and a check on whether the posting looks genuine.
What to upload
A resume as a PDF, DOCX or plain-text file, up to 12MB. A scanned PDF has no text to read, so export one from your editor instead.
What a score is not
A score says how well your resume fits a posting as written. It does not predict whether an employer will call you, and hirly does not claim it does.
