Laborer

• Department: Operations/Production
• Reports To: Kris Risher, Labor Yard Supervisor

Position Summary

The Laborer supports safe and efficient plant operations by performing general labor duties, material handling, housekeeping, equipment support, and assisting production teams. The position works in an industrial environment and plays a key role in maintaining productivity, safety, and operational excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• •Perform general labor duties including cleaning, shoveling, sweeping, and material handling.
• •Assist with loading and unloading materials and supplies
• •Support production and maintenance teams as needed
• •Operate hand tools and equipment safely and effectively
• •Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• •Conduct routine inspections and report safety hazards or equipment issues promptly.
• •Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.
• •Assist with plant, quarry, warehouse, or yard operations as assigned.
• •Perform additional duties as required to support operational needs.

Qualifications

• •High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• •Ability to perform physically demanding work in an industrial environment.
• •Ability to work safely and follow instructions.
• •Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• •Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• •Willingness to learn equipment operation and plant processes.

Physical Requirements

• •Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• •Frequent bending, climbing, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
• •Ability to work in varying weather conditions and around industrial equipment.
• •Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Work Environment

• •Exposure to dust, noise, moving machinery, heat, cold, humidity, and outdoor conditions.
• •Industrial manufacturing, quarry, terminal, or cement plant environment.
