About the Team

Corporate Governance is part of T. Rowe Price’s broader investment research organization. Governance specialists support the firm’s analysts and portfolio managers by providing research and expertise on governance-related factors that may be relevant to investment analysis.

The team works collaboratively with investment professionals as governance considerations are evaluated alongside other factors within T. Rowe Price’s active investment process.

Role Summary

The T. Rowe Price internship program includes a formal orientation, peer and senior mentor assignments, and formal learning opportunities. In addition to work assignments within the Corporate Governance team, interns gain exposure to associates and senior leaders across the firm through an executive speaker series, networking and social events, and engagement with our Business Resource Groups.

During the 10-week program in Baltimore, the Corporate Governance Intern will support the development of a research paper that sets out the value of corporate governance within the active management investment process. The paper may reflect relevant academic research as well as insights gained from T. Rowe Price investment teams.

This opportunity is well suited for a student who enjoys research, writing, critical thinking, and exploring the connection between corporate governance and investing.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include:

  • Support the development of a research paper examining the value of corporate governance within the active management investment process
  • Conduct and synthesize relevant academic and other research
  • Analyze information from multiple sources to identify key themes and findings
  • Develop clear, well-supported written analysis based on research findings
  • Contribute to research

Qualifications

Required:

  • Full-time student pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date of December 2028 through May/June 2029
  • Open to all majors
  • Strong research, analytical, and written communication skills
  • Ability to evaluate information from multiple sources and develop well-supported conclusions
  • Intellectual curiosity and interest in understanding the relationship between corporate governance, companies, and investing

Preferred:

  • Cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
  • Coursework or experience in areas such as political science, public policy, legal research, humanities, economics, business, finance, or related fields
  • Experience conducting research or producing substantive written analysis
  • Strong critical thinking skills and attention to detail
  • Interest in corporate governance and investment management

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.

WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER APPLYING

Base Salary Ranges

  • $75,000 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
  • $75,000 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
  • $75,000 for the location of: New York, California

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role . Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package . Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
