Job Description

The Future Talent Program features internships that last up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Human Health Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.

The International Pricing Analytics Intern will partner with the International Pricing team to design and implement a data-driven framework that quantifies, tracks, and communicates the value created by International Pricing in shaping global pricing decisions. The intern will develop methodologies, dashboards, and business metrics that demonstrate how pricing recommendations influence revenue, access, launch sequencing, pricing risk mitigation, and overall portfolio performance.

This role combines strategic business analysis, pricing analytics, process mapping, and data visualization. The intern will work cross-functionally with Pricing, Market Access, Finance, Commercial, and Regional teams to establish a sustainable system for measuring the impact of International Pricing activities across the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Value Measurement Framework Development

  • Design a methodology to quantify the value generated through International Pricing recommendations and interventions.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure
  • Revenue preservation from pricing strategy decisions
  • Value generated through PAR recommendations
  • International Reference Pricing (IRP) risk mitigation
  • Launch sequencing optimization
  • Pricing strategy adoption rates
  • Access and reimbursement outcomes influenced by pricing guidance
  • Create a repeatable process for measuring realized versus projected impact.

Analytics & Data Management

  • Collect and consolidate data from pricing systems, PAR records, forecasts, market submissions, and business cases.
  • Develop analytical models to estimate financial and strategic value created by pricing decisions.
  • Build dashboards and reports that visualize pricing impact at product, market, regional, and portfolio levels.
  • Identify trends and drivers influencing pricing outcomes.

Process Mapping & Improvement

  • Map current International Pricing workflows and decision points.
  • Identify opportunities to automate data collection and reporting activities.
  • Recommend enhancements to improve transparency, consistency, and efficiency in measuring team contributions.
  • Document processes and create user guides for future maintenance of the system.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Conduct interviews with International Pricing team members and key stakeholders to understand decision-making processes.
  • Gather business requirements and align stakeholders on success metrics.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and prototypes to leadership.
  • Translate complex pricing concepts into clear business insights.

Final Deliverable

By the conclusion of the internship, the candidate will deliver:

  • A documented International Pricing Value Framework
  • A KPI dashboard and reporting tool
  • A methodology for estimating financial and strategic value creation
  • Recommendations for ongoing tracking and governance
  • Executive-level presentation summarizing findings and impact

Preferred Project Outcomes

The intern will help answer questions such as:

  • How much value has International Pricing created through PAR recommendations?
  • What revenue has been protected through IRP risk mitigation?
  • How often do pricing recommendations influence final decisions?
  • Which pricing interventions have the greatest business impact?
  • What metrics best demonstrate the strategic contribution of International Pricing?
  • How can value creation be consistently tracked over time?

Success Metrics

A successful intern will:

  • Develop a measurable framework accepted by International Pricing leadership.
  • Create a sustainable dashboard that can be maintained after the internship.
  • Quantify historical and prospective value generated by pricing activities.
  • Identify actionable opportunities to improve visibility into pricing decision impact.
  • Deliver recommendations that support strategic business decision-making.

Required Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in: Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Data Science, Health Economics, Market Access, Public Health, Industrial Engineering or related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Excel and data analysis.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.

Preferred

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or R.
  • Interest in pharmaceutical pricing, market access, health economics, or healthcare strategy.
  • Familiarity with KPI development and business process improvement.
  • Experience creating dashboards and executive presentations.
