By leveraging cutting-edge 5G optimization techniques and advanced AI tools, your work will directly boost network efficiency, elevate customer satisfaction, and keep Verizon ahead of the competition.

  • Evaluating end-to-end service performance trends and isolating root causes of impacted services.
  • Performing comprehensive LTE, 5G, VoLTE, and VoNR testing with deep-dive analysis of relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Optimizing LTE, 5G NR, and RAN networks using traditional methodologies alongside innovative, AI-driven automation tools.
  • Investigating and resolving escalated customer service and coverage complaints.
  • Optimizing embedded networks to support the seamless integration of new macro sites, small cells, Fixed Wireless Access (FWA), and In-Building Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS).
  • Utilizing predictive AI models and analytics to forecast network congestion, optimize parameter configurations, and automate troubleshooting workflows.

What we’re looking for...

You have a strong customer service orientation. You like to take ownership of an issue and resolve it successfully. You are able to understand and evaluate a complex problem and present solutions. You work well independently as well as effectively with diverse business teams and vendors to implement solutions.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
  • Hands-on experience with 5G NR and LTE network performance optimization.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends as operational needs dictate.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
  • Deep knowledge of 5G NR, LTE, VoLTE, VoNR, and RAN architecture and protocols.
  • Proficiency with AI and machine learning tools for network analytics, automated root-cause analysis, and predictive maintenance (e.g., Claude, custom Python scripts, or AI-based network orchestration tools).
  • Strong understanding of IP, transport protocols, and backhaul performance.
  • Experience with network optimization, data analysis, and SP tools such as TrueCall, Atoll, Dmat, or Trace analysis tools.
  • Experience with Samsung RAN systems, including USM (Unified Element Manager) and 3GPP standards.
  • Proven capability to differentiate, isolate, and diagnose RAN versus CORE network issues.
  • Expertise in inter-modulation, distortion, RF interference detection, and mitigation techniques.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical problem-solving skills and clear technical communication capabilities.

If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.
