Ab Initio Admin

We are seeking a motivated Ab Initio Administrator with 3–5 years of experience in administering and supporting Ab Initio environments. The ideal candidate should have experience in platform administration, application deployment, environment management, troubleshooting, and support of ETL processes.

Responsibilities

Ab Initio Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Ab Initio software components across development, testing, and production environments.

Manage and administer:

Co Operating System (Co Op)

Enterprise Meta Environment (EME)

Conduct It

GDE (Graphical Development Environment)

Continuous Flows

Monitor platform health, application performance, and system availability.

Perform environment setup, upgrades, patching, and system maintenance activities.

Manage user access, permissions, and security configurations.

Support application deployment, scheduling, and production implementation activities.

Monitor ETL job executions and resolve platform-related issues.

Troubleshoot Ab Initio environment, infrastructure, and application connectivity issues.

Analyze platform performance and recommend optimization opportunities.

Work with metadata repositories, datasets, and file processing environments.

Coordinate with infrastructure, database, and support teams for issue resolution and environment management.

Technical requirements

3–5 years of experience in Ab Initio Administration.

Strong knowledge of Ab Initio components: Co>Operating System, EME, Conduct>It, GDE, and Continuous Flows.

Experience in installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and maintenance of Ab Initio environments.

Good knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and Shell Scripting.

Basic to intermediate SQL skills.

Experience in environment management, application deployment, job monitoring, and production support.

Strong troubleshooting skills for Ab Initio platform, infrastructure, and connectivity issues.

Experience with user access management and security administration.

Familiarity with Autosys, Control-M, or similar scheduling tools.

Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL concepts.
