Hiring Range: $261,000 - $275,000

UMass Memorial Medical Group seeks a dedicated and compassionate Family Medicine Hospitalist to join our growing team. Our competitive compensation and benefits package places us as your top choice in the region.

Key Highlights

• •Provide direct medical care to hospitalized patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
• •Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, specialists, and support staff, to ensure coordinated care and optimal patient outcomes.
• •Manage patient care from admission through discharge, including conducting rounds, ordering and interpreting tests, and developing treatment plans.
• •Maintain clear and effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
• •Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care in the electronic medical record (EMR) system-EPIC
• •Provide consultative services to other physicians and healthcare professionals as needed.
• •Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of hospital policies and protocols.
• •Mentor and educate medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• •Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• •Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• •Must hold or be eligible for an active medical license and DEA in Massachusetts.
• •Previous experience as a hospitalist or in a similar role is preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
• •Strong clinical skills, proficiency in inpatient care, and familiarity with hospital-based electronic medical records (EMR).
• •Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple patients effectively.
• •Available to work full-time, with a rotating schedule that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays
