You will serve as a key liaison among purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, program teams, and suppliers. The role requires strong leadership, sound judgment, and the ability to guide cross-functional teams through complex supply chain issues while minimizing impacts to vehicle production and accessory launch timing.
What You’ll Do
- Lead day-to-day execution across key accessory supply chain areas, including manufacturing and warehouse operations, supply chain systems and processes, launch execution and scheduling, and material management.
- Establish team priorities, coordinate workload, and ensure critical deliverables are completed on time and aligned with organizational objectives.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members by providing clear expectations, constructive feedback, knowledge sharing, and opportunities for growth.
- Lead cross-functional teams in identifying root causes, developing creative solutions, and resolving complex supply chain issues.
- Represent the accessory supply chain team in cross-functional meetings and communicate risks, decisions, action plans, and status to all levels of the organization and to suppliers.
- Build strong working relationships with purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, program teams, suppliers, logistics providers, and other service providers.
- Assess supplier schedules, capacity, material availability, and logistics constraints to identify risks to vehicle assembly and accessory production.
- Lead complex capacity constraint and sufficiency issues through resolution, with the goal of preventing plant disruptions and reducing premium transportation.
- Coordinate launch execution, build-out, and ongoing production support, including onsite support at plant locations when required.
- Analyze supply chain metrics and develop fact-based recommendations to resolve supplier critical issues and support sufficiency plans.
- Summarize critical issues, business impacts, options, and recommended resolutions for leadership decision-making.
- Establish and improve team processes, standard work, operating rhythms, and escalation practices to improve responsiveness and execution.
- Promote accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and a strong customer-focused culture across the team.
- Support relationship management with logistics suppliers and service providers.
- Maintain flexibility to work extended and non-core hours when needed to drive urgent issues to resolution.
- Apply sound problem-solving skills to complete issues, implement innovative strategies, and prevent recurrence.
- Use a deep understanding of supply chain functions to balance business priorities, supplier capability, production requirements, and financial considerations.
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
- 5 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, program or product management, manufacturing, logistics, or product development. (any internship or co-op experience will not be considered)
- Demonstrated ability to lead work in a cross-functional environment and influence outcomes without direct authority.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing demands, make sound decisions, and drive issues to resolution.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex issues clearly to leadership and stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain accountability for team deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, finance, a related field
- Master’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related advanced degree
- Experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating the work of others
- High level of analytical ability, including the ability to assess complex problems and develop practical solutions.
- Strong data analytics skills to interpret trends, generate insights, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Proficiency in IMS
- Experience with Microsoft/Google Sheets
What Can Give You a Competitive Edge
- Production Control and Logistics experience.
- Accessory, vehicle launch, plant, or build-out experience.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver Power BI dashboards that turn complex data into actionable intelligence.
- Experience leading projects and cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong planning, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Experience establishing team processes, standard work, performance metrics, or operating rhythms.
- Ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner.
- Experience managing supplier capacity, material sufficiency, logistics constraints, or production disruption risks
