This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Dynamics of the Role
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to drive business growth, market expansion, and strategic client engagement across the banking, fintech, alternative lending, payments, and retail credit sectors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and increasing market penetration. This role requires a consultative sales professional who can engage senior stakeholders, understand client challenges, and deliver tailored solutions that create measurable business value.
Leveraging strong industry knowledge and established networks within the financial services and fintech ecosystem, the Account Manager will play a critical role in expanding TransUnion's market presence and driving revenue growth.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B sales, business development, and account management, with the ability to manage complex sales cycles, coordinate cross-functional teams, and convert opportunities into long-term strategic partnerships. Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to increase market share and expand market penetration.
Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within the banking, fintech, alternative lending, payments, and retail credit sectors.
Create and maintain detailed account and prospecting plans to drive revenue growth and build a sustainable sales pipeline.
Lead consultative discussions with clients to understand business challenges and recommend appropriate solutions.
Manage the full sales cycle, from opportunity identification through contract negotiation and deal closure.
Account Management & Client Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned customers and key stakeholders, including decision-makers, influencers, buyers, and executive sponsors.
Conduct regular discovery and value-based engagement meetings to understand customer needs and identify opportunities for growth.
Manage and expand existing strategic accounts while developing new customer relationships.
Serve as a trusted advisor by providing industry insights, market trends, and solution recommendations.
Collaboration & Portfolio Management
Partner closely with Product Consultants and cross-functional teams to drive adoption of new solutions and maximize customer value.
Coordinate RFP and proposal processes, including resource allocation, response development, and submission management.
Lead internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of customer requirements and successful business conversion.
Effectively manage and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts to achieve revenue and retention targets.
Market & Industry Leadership
Stay informed of industry developments, regulatory changes, market trends, and competitive activities.
Educate customers and internal stakeholders on industry best practices and emerging opportunities.
Represent the company professionally in client meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum 8 years of experience in direct B2B sales, business development, or account management.
Experience covering one or more of the following industries:
- Banking and Financial Services
- Fintech
- Alternative Lending
- Payments
- Credit Risk or Consumer Lending
- SaaS or Data & Analytics Solutions
Demonstrated success in managing complex sales cycles and engaging stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including senior executives.
Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans and achieve revenue targets.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a consultative selling approach.
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Fluency in English and Cantonese is required; Mandarin is an advantage.
Strong project and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple internal and external parties effectively.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Attributes
Established network within the Hong Kong financial services and fintech ecosystem.
Experience selling data, analytics, risk, fraud, identity, credit, or technology solutions.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify market opportunities and translate them into business growth.
Ability to influence senior stakeholders and build long-term strategic partnerships.
