OPPORTUNITY

Agriculture: The Account Manager is responsible for driving growth by developing and managing customer relationships while selling fertilizer and agricultural chemical solutions that support customer productivity and long-term success. This role requires a bachelor’s degree, preferably in an agriculture-related field such as agronomy, soil and crop management, crop science, agricultural chemistry, sustainable agriculture, or agriculture with a focus on marketing, economics, or agribusiness.

As Agriculture Account Manager primary responsibilities include:

Business Development & Growth

Own and execute strategic territory and account plans with minimal direction.

Consistently secure new business opportunities with higher revenue and margin impact.

Lead account penetration strategies, including multi‑site and multi‑application growth.

Customer Relationship Management

Build deep, multi‑level relationships with customer decision‑makers and technical stakeholders.

Lead structured business reviews and develop action plans to improve performance and prevent issues.

Anticipate customer needs, identify operational risks, and respond proactively to competitive threats.

Technical & Solution Expertise

Design and optimize chemical treatment programs leveraging Hydrite’s manufacturing, distribution, and technical capabilities.

Analyze data to validate performance, troubleshoot complex challenges, and refine treatment approaches.

Serve as a primary technical resource for medium‑to‑large accounts and support training or mentoring of Account Manager I roles.

Financial & Business Acumen

Develop detailed forecasts and territory‑level analyses to guide decision‑making.

Negotiate pricing and defend margins through strategic positioning and value‑based selling.

Influence internal teams to ensure service continuity, quality, and supply alignment.

Sales Operations

Maintain timely, accurate CRM records, forecasts, call reports, and documentation.

Monitor market trends and competitive activity to inform territory strategy.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

This position reports to the Director of Sales - Agriculture.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL CRITERIA

College education and prior sales and/or technical experience preferred.

5+ years of sales or related technical experience.

Demonstrated success managing a territory and closing new business independently.

Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and job‑specific software.

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability and willingness to travel extensively.
