Description
An Account Technician assists and supports licensed staff members with the servicing, production and renewal of customer insurance accounts. In addition to providing customer support via careful, detail-oriented maintenance of accounts, additional responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Renewing customer policy information internally
- Creating client mailings for insurance documents and notices
- Retrieving client documentation from various company websites
- Identifying premium increases and remarketing opportunities to reduce costs to clients
- Assisting Account Managers with customer requested changes and processing of endorsement documentation and billing
- Processing mail received for client accounts
- Identifying policy cancellations for Account Manager follow up
- General account cleanup and maintenance for client accounts

- This entry-level position does not require experience or an insurance license, but a willingness to learn and potentially become licensed to assist in direct client-facing roles is expected
- Requires an ability to communicate orally and in writing with others to explain complex issues, receive and interpret complex information, and respond appropriately and professionally
- Must be incredibly detail focused and have excellent organization skills
- Must be a self-starter with excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Must embrace a client-focused, team mentality
- Must be proficient in MS Office tools and able to learn insurance management systems
- Previous working knowledge of Applied Epic or similar insurance account management software is preferred
