Your role

As an Accountant at Össur India, you will play a key role in ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements and maintaining accurate financial records. Working closely with our Global Shared Service Center, regional finance teams, external auditors, and advisors, you will support financial reporting, regulatory compliance, audits, and day-to-day accounting activities. This is a broad role offering exposure to both finance operations and business support functions in a dynamic, international organization.

Your tasks

• •Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, including audit schedules, reconciliations, and resolution of audit queries.
• •Manage statutory filings, financial statement preparation, annual returns, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• •Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PF, FEMA, RBI, and other statutory obligations.
• •Perform statutory and tax reconciliations and support annual compliance reviews.
• •Collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, the Global Shared Service Center, and regional finance teams on finance and compliance matters.
• •Support import/export compliance activities, inventory verification, and stock audits.
• •Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure documentation is audit-ready and compliant.
• •Coordinate master data maintenance and provide administrative support to business operations when required.

Who are you?

You are a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys working in a structured and compliance-driven environment. You take ownership of your responsibilities, build strong relationships with stakeholders, and are comfortable managing multiple priorities.

You also bring:

• •A degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
• •Experience in accounting, statutory compliance, and financial reporting.
• •Knowledge of Indian tax and regulatory requirements, including GST, TDS, PF, FEMA, and RBI regulations.
• •Experience supporting audits and working with external auditors and consultants.
• •Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
• •Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• •Excellent communication skills in English.
• •A proactive, organized, and collaborative approach to work.
