Finance team:
We're looking for a proactive Accounting Analyst to support the bank’s financial and regulatory accounting processes. If you're passionate about learning how a regulated financial institution operates, participating in key accounting cycles, and contributing to accurate, compliant reporting, this role is for you.
Challenges that await you:
Hight participation to Set up and implementation of the accounting guidelines for new products
Develop manuals of accounting policy and procedures
Interaction with several departments (IT, Operations, Middle Office, Front Office HR, AP, Products, etc.)
Relevant participation in maintaining accurate and up-to-date general accounting records.
Understand and support compliance with the “Disposiciones de Carácter General aplicables a Instituciones de Banca Multiple / Circular Única de Bancos) and other regulatory requirements.
Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Understand accounting processes related to general expenses, provisions, taxes, reserves, loan portfolios, and treasury operations.
Oversee and participate in account reconciliations, integrations, and the preparation of information for internal and external audits.
Collaborate closely with Treasury, Risk, Compliance, and Audit teams to ensure alignment and data accuracy.
Participate in process improvement initiatives related to automation, internal controls, and reporting efficiency.
What makes you a great fit:
Bachelor’s degree in public accounting or Banking and Finance (mandatory).
3 years of experience in banking or regulatory accounting within banks.
Deep Knowledge of NIF´s and CNBV Accounting criteria applicable for Commercial Banks
Intermediate Excel skills and familiarity with financial analysis tools.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Intermediate–advanced English for reporting or internal communication.
Conversational Spanish
Nice to Have:
Experience supporting audits (internal or external).
Familiarity with loan portfolio and treasury accounting.
Interest in automation, digital tools, or accounting process optimization.
Curiosity about regulatory frameworks and banking operations.
