  • Processing supplier invoices and credits, ensuring they are correctly matched, authorised, coded, and posted in a timely manner.
  • Coordinating UK and overseas supplier payment runs and ensuring remittances are issued promptly.
  • Raising and managing sales invoices for both internal and external customers.
  • Reconciling supplier statements and customer accounts, resolving queries effectively and professionally.
  • Monitoring outstanding debt and supplier balances, leading regular debtor and creditor reviews and driving actions through to resolution.
  • Supporting cash flow management, including maintaining cash flow forecasts and assisting with monthly forecasting activities.
  • Managing the Goods Received Not Invoiced (GRNI) ledger and ensuring balances are accurate at month end.
  • Assisting with month-end activities, including reconciliations, KPI reporting, and financial controls.
  • Supporting external audits, statutory reporting requirements, and government grant submissions.
  • Ensuring company credit card expenditure is reconciled and recorded in line with company policies.

Job requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills with the confidence to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and plan ahead.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the use of Pivot Tables, and experience using finance systems.
  • Experience processing foreign currency transactions and working within a multi-currency environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:

  • Background within an engineering, manufacturing, or construction environment.
  • Experience working within a small finance team where flexibility and collaboration are essential.
