Porch Group is seeking an Actuarial Specialist to lead complex pricing initiatives for our homeowners insurance products. You will oversee advanced modeling, regulatory filings, and strategic pricing projects, while mentoring analysts and ensuring compliance with professional standards.

What You Will Do As A Actuarial Specialist

• •Lead development and maintenance of rating plans and indication frameworks.
• •Design and implement advanced pricing models and segmentation strategies.
• •Direct preparation of countrywide rating algorithm initiatives; ensure accuracy and compliance.
• •Establish documentation and governance standards for pricing models.
• •Mentor and coach actuarial analysts; review work for accuracy and completeness.
• •Drive investigations into segmentation enhancements and provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership for opportunities to improve operations.
• •Implement innovative analytical tools and techniques to elevate the analytic capabilities and speed to results of the department.
• •Collaborate closely with business partners in Product, Reserving, Data Science, Underwriting, Sales, and Claims.
• •Maintain progress toward actuarial credentials through ongoing exam completion and professional development activities, if relevant.

What You Will Bring As A Actuarial Specialist

• •Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• •Associate designation or near-associate completion from the CAS, IFOA, or IAI strongly preferred.
• •5+ years of general insurance actuarial/pricing experience, including leadership of complex projects.
• •Expert Excel; advanced SQL and Python/R skills.
• •Proven ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and regulators.
• •Strategic thinking and leadership; strong governance and risk management orientation.
• •Ability to influence and communicate effectively with executives.
• •Proven experience working with US based business teams.
• •Excellent written and communication skills in English language.
• •Working Hours: 8 Hours (Excluding breaks)

4 Core US Hours Overlap (7:30pm– 11:30pm IST)

4 flexible hours (IST)

Workspace: A quiet space to work, an internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download | 10 Mbps upload

What You Will Get As A Porch Group Team Member

Pay Range: 712,500 - 997,500 INR annually

Please know your actual pay at Porch will reflect a number of factors among which are your work experience and skillsets, job-related knowledge, alignment with market and our Porch employees, as well as your geographic location.
