A Brief Overview
Actuary, Data Commercialization leads assigned client initiatives and project teams for RGA's data commercialization offerings, including MedScore. Applies deep actuarial and analytical expertise to solve complex client and market problems, working within strategy set by RGA's Data Commercialization SME. Negotiates with internal and external stakeholders to align solutions and leads defined project teams through implementation. Impacts client and business outcomes through sound analysis and effective execution.
What you will do
Leads assigned client-facing data commercialization initiatives, including MedScore, within strategy and priorities set by RGA's Data Commercialization SME.
Leads a defined project team to execute assigned client data solutions, coordinating actuarial, technical, and business development resources on scope of moderate complexity.
Analyzes client books business, market data, and experience trends to solve complex problems and develop recommendations that drive account growth.
Negotiates Engages with external clients and internal stakeholders to align on data-driven solutions that meet strategic needs.
Drives the sales and implementation process for assigned client engagements, participating in client presentations, meetings, workshops, and demonstrations, and applying actuarial and analytical expertise to resolve client and technical challenges.
Drives go-to-market activities for assigned data and analytics solutions, including implementation planning and coordination with internal stakeholders on sales enablement materials.
Builds client relationships within assigned accounts by applying product knowledge and technical expertise to identify data-related opportunities.
Contributes to Model Development, Enhancement, and Governance processes, leading resolution of complex modeling issues in partnership with actuarial and technical teams.
Develops insights from business data and client engagements to support product development, benchmarking, and thought leadership.
Drives process improvement efforts within actuarial and data commercialization functions, in collaboration with pricing, underwriting, and operations as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Business, Actuarial Science, Administration, Marketing or related degree or equivalent related work experience
7+ Years Life insurance, reinsurance, actuarial, data analytics, or related insurance industry experience
FSA accreditation
Proven ability to support client-facing sales, product commercialization, and revenue growth efforts
Advanced computer based technical skills, including MS Office applications.
Expert understanding of the US Life insurance markets
Advanced skills in customer relationship management and client service
Expert investigative, analytical and problem solving skills
Advanced oral and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to convey business terminology that is meaningful and well received to internal and external audiences
Advanced ability to translate business needs and problems into viable solutions
Advanced ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional and technical disciplines
Advanced persuasion and negotiation skills when working with internal/external customers to resolve issues/problems
Advanced ability to set goals and handle multiple tasks, clients, and projects simultaneously; ability to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
Possess project management skills, including an ability to evaluate project objectives and scope for feasibility, understanding, scheduling and ensure projects meet budget and plan criteria.
Preferred
Advanced analytics and statistical modeling skills
Experience supporting client-facing initiatives, business development, or commercialization of data-driven solutions
Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, presentations, and business development activities

Compensation Range:
$139,380.00 - $207,700.00 Annual
Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
