Job Description

1. Key Responsibilities (tasks & outcomes for which this position will be accountable)

Lead the Japan acute-care marketing plan for PureWick, aligned with the business strategy, annual operating plan and revenue objectives.

Prioritize target segments, hospitals, departments and patient pathways based on market potential, clinical relevance, adoption feasibility and speed to revenue.

Develop the infection-prevention and urinary-care value proposition for infection control nurses, continence or urinary care nurses and other hospital stakeholders.

Identify and activate quick-win use cases; for instance, selected orthopedic pathways such as joint replacement and selected cardiovascular catheter-based procedures involving short procedures and limited post-procedure bed rest.

Build a clinically responsible strategy for replacing Foley catheterization in appropriate patient pathways, grounded in evidence, approved claims, local practice and institutional protocols.

Create evidence-based selling platforms, including messaging, objection handling, economic value stories, sales tools, training and account activation playbooks.

Partner with Sales on target-account plans, early-adopter sites, pilots and conversion programs that generate adoption and revenue.

Lead customer engagement strategy and execution, including KOL identification and relationship management, advisory activities, and the development, launch and ongoing operation of education platforms for healthcare professionals and other relevant stakeholders.

Identify evidence gaps and partner with Medical, Clinical and Regulatory Affairs on evidence-generation and education plans.

Monitor evaluations, conversions, utilization, revenue and market-development milestones.

Collaborate across Japan, regional and global teams and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, quality, privacy and ethical requirements.

2. Educational Qualifications & Previous Experience

Bachelor's degree required; science, healthcare, business or marketing preferred.

At least 7 years of commercial experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, consumer health, life sciences or a related healthcare sector.

Proven experience in product marketing, hospital market development, new product launch and commercial strategy execution.

Demonstrated experience in customer engagement, including KOL management and the development and operation of healthcare professional education platforms, programs or communities.

Ability to translate customer insight and clinical evidence into differentiated value propositions and commercial programs.

Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Medical, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Finance and Supply Chain.

Business-level English and effective communication in both English and Japanese.

3. Professional Skills & Key Competencies

Strategic and analytical thinking with strong execution discipline and a bias for action.

Customer centricity and the ability to translate unmet needs into differentiated value propositions.

Strong communication, storytelling and influencing skills across clinical and commercial audiences.

Commercial acumen in segmentation, forecasting, pricing, channel strategy and revenue planning.

Evidence-based decision-making within applicable legal, regulatory, quality and compliance requirements.

Cross-functional leadership and the ability to influence without authority in a matrix organization.

Creativity, learning agility, resilience and accountability for measurable business outcomes.

4. Desired / Additional Skills, Knowledge & Experience (not essential to the job but an advantage)

Knowledge of hospital infection prevention, catheter-associated complications, continence care or nursing workflows.

Experience building clinical pathways, conversion programs or evidence-based selling models in hospitals.

Experience with infection control nurses, specialist nurses, operating-room teams, physicians and hospital decision-makers.

Experience supporting clinical evaluations, pilots, health-economic analyses or real-world evidence generation.
