We’ve got a great opportunity for an experienced Contract Administrator to join our Ashburton maintenance team and help deliver the Ashburton District Council Road Maintenance Contract.

This is a role for someone who likes variety, keeps things organised, and knows how to keep people informed. You’ll support the team with key contract administration, help keep reporting and processes on track, and be a go-to contact for both internal teams and external customers.

At Fulton Hogan, Good Work is about doing what matters well, backing each other, and finding better ways forward. You’ll join a team that’s friendly, down to earth, and serious when it counts.

Ngā tino kawenga mahi | Key role responsibilities

  • Support end-of-month processes including financial claims, reconciliations, cost fluctuation reporting, and associated administration.
  • Act as a first point of contact for customer service requests, emergency services, contractors, and the public during day-to-day operations and emergency events.
  • Provide reliable administrative support to help the maintenance team deliver the contract well.
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders and help keep communication clear, timely, and practical.

  • Proven customer service experience and a confident, professional approach with internal and external stakeholders.
  • An understanding of maintenance contract requirements, technical standards, systems, and processes would be an advantage, but isn’t essential.

We take the work seriously, not ourselves. You’ll join a team that’s welcoming, practical, and always moving forward. We care about our communities, look for lower-impact ways of working, and partner with others to lift the standards of our industry.
