Summary
You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST of NIWC ATLANTIC.
Duties
- You will lead and manage security programs, ensuring all required controls, processes, and procedures are established and maintained to protect sensitive information and support mission requirements effectively.
- You will oversee access control and security administration, including eligibility reviews, clearances, and related actions while ensuring requirements are followed for government personnel, contractors, and visitors.
- You will administer special access programs, monitor compliance with governing security requirements, and ensure personnel understand and follow procedures for safeguarding classified and sensitive information.
- You will provide security training and prepare materials for shipping, couriering, handling, and storing protected information, while ensuring required records and documentation remain accurate and current.
- You will conduct pre-construction, maintenance, and required security reviews, providing guidance on facility protection, equipment, procedures, and documentation needed for accreditation and operational approval.
- You will communicate security requirements clearly and professionally, exercise sound judgment, and work effectively with military, civilian, contractor, and other personnel across all levels of the organization.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or NO-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: GS-12: Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other security policies for classified activities. Experience managing the lifecycle of SAPF /SCIFs, including accreditation, modification and continuous monitoring. Development and implementation of tailored SAP / SCI security education and training programs. Critical skills include implementing and managing systems for accountability, control, transmission, and destruction of all SAP / SCI information and material. GS-13: Experience developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other security policies for classified activities. Experience managing the lifecycle of SAPF /SCIFs, including accreditation, modification and continuous monitoring. Development and implementation of tailored SAP / SCI security education and training programs.
