Description

Who we are: Advanced Radiology Services is one of the largest physician-owned radiology practices in the country. Our growing practice includes 180 radiologists, 30 advanced practice providers, and 160 employees providing administrative support in our wholly owned subsidiary STARS. We value diversity on our team and promote a culture of inclusion. We provide services to more than 60 different sites across the state of Michigan.

What we do: ARS is the exclusive radiology provider to both Bronson Healthcare and Corewell Healthcare Systems.

Position Summary: The Interventional & Diagnostic Radiology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will be a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) working onsite in Kalamazoo in collaboration with both ARS interventional and diagnostic radiologists. Sites include various Bronson Healthcare locations as well as select Corewell Health locations. The APP will perform and interpret the results of various diagnostic studies and also perform therapeutic procedures. These include interventional radiology (IR) procedures, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and musculoskeletal fluoroscopy procedures, and nuclear medicine injections. The APP will interpret and report on bone densitometry studies, after the required qualification and training is completed. The APP will also provide in-hospital IR directed patient care including pre-procedural consultation and post procedural patient management. The patient population served spans from pediatric to geriatric patients. Daily responsibilities will vary by location, and may also vary based on the department’s needs. Travel to all locations will be shared amongst the group. This position includes week long fluoroscopy call and Saturday IR rounding rotating every seventh week. Scope of practice may be expanded and will require additional training at the discretion of ARS and based on additional needs of the hospitals we serve.

Responsibilities:

· Provide IR directed patient care including pre and post-procedural evaluations in a hospital environment in collaboration with IR attending(s).

· Additional daily duties in IR may include conducting outpatient IR clinic visits, responding to contrast reactions in the radiology department, and performing image guided procedures in interventional radiology.

· Perform GI and GU fluoroscopy studies, and fluoroscopic guided procedures, in collaboration with the diagnostic radiology attending(s).

· Provide appropriate patient and family education regarding treatment recommendations and recommendations for follow up care.

· Communicate and collaborate with other specialty services to provide comprehensive patient care.

· Accurately and efficiently document consult and follow up notes in the EMR, and diagnostic radiology dictations in PACS.

· Perform additional related duties as required.

What’s great about working for ARS? Our Advanced Practice Providers have a great deal of autonomy in patient care. They are instrumental to the physicians and work closely with them to develop the best treatment plan for the patient. ARS offers outstanding career growth and challenge as well as an excellent compensation and benefits package.
