Description

Advertising Sales Executive

We don’t just broadcast messages. Radio has the power to make people listen- and, more importantly, act.

At Midwest Communications, we’re not simply in the business of selling commercials. We help local businesses get noticed, solve marketing challenges, connect with the right customers, and turn great ideas into results.

As an Advertising Sales Executive, you’ll become a trusted marketing partner for businesses in your community. You’ll learn what a client is trying to accomplish, identify opportunities, and build marketing strategies using radio, digital, social media, promotions, and more.

What You’ll Do:

  • Help local businesses become stronger and more successful - understand what they’re trying to accomplish and find ways to help them by using marketing strategies across radio, digital, social media, and promotions.
  • Create new opportunities for growth- conduct needs assessments and build relationships with businesses that could benefit from what Midwest Communications has to offer.
  • Build a presence by attending client meetings, networking events, and community functions.
  • Turn marketing strategies into results- help clients connect with customers, increase awareness, drive traffic, generate leads, and grow their business.
  • Create your own success story- develop new business, grow existing partnerships, and build a book of clients you’re proud to represent.
  • Stay ahead of the market by tracking the latest trends, competitor offerings, and best industry practices.

What We Offer:

  • A full-time position with an established and successful business.
  • Competitive pay with commission and benefits ($45,000-$60,000 based on experience). Start with a guaranteed draw while you build your business and client relationships, with additional earning potential through commission.
  • Paid time off/holidays, health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending accounts, life insurance, and disability coverage.
  • Professional development and sales training.
  • Performance based incentives/bonuses.
  • Opportunities to grow within Midwest Communications, Inc.

We’re Looking for Someone Who...

  • Has a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
  • Has previous sales experience; advertising or media experience is a plus.
  • Understands sales activity, forecasting, and CRM software.
  • Is a strong communicator, negotiator, presenter, and problem-solver.
  • Has a valid Wisconsin driver’s license, reliable transportation, and can pass a background check.
  • Is self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.

The Midwest Communications, Inc Culture

At Midwest Communications, we’re invested in the longevity and success of our sales teams. You’ll join an established team of professional sales consultants who know how to build relationships, uncover opportunities, and create solutions that make an impact. You will also work alongside talented programming, promotions, digital, and production teams to create campaigns.

As a privately owned, family-founded business, we expect our team members to take ownership of their work while also maintaining a laid-back, collaborative atmosphere. You’ll have the tools, resources, and support of an established media company but the autonomy to build relationships, develop your business, and make your mark in the local market.

Are you ready to make your mark in the radio industry? We’d love to hear from you.
