What does a Senior Software Engineer do at PALO IT?

As a Senior Software Engineer at PALO IT, you will lead and accelerate the next wave of software innovation through the following responsibilities:

Design and develop scalable backend solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.

Implement, test, and maintain RESTful APIs, ensuring their performance, scalability, and security.

Employ agile methodologies by participating in sprint ceremonies and code reviews to maintain high code quality.

Collaborate with solution architects and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing through workshops, presentations, and community initiatives.

Continuously improve software development processes by identifying areas for optimization and implementing automation where appropriate.

What experience do you need for this role?

You’re a strong fit for this Senior Software Engineer role if you have:

6+ years of professional experience in software development with a strong focus on backend technologies.

Proficiency in Java (8+), Spring Boot, RESTful API design, JPA, and microservices architecture.

Hands-on experience with databases (SQL: PostgreSQL, MySQL; NoSQL: MongoDB) and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.

Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish, enabling effective collaboration in diverse teams.
