About the company
Valerie Health is the AI front office for independent provider groups. We are reimagining how independent practices operate by using AI to modernize patient and provider communication, enhance care, and drive industry changing operational efficiencies.
Why join us now?
Team: We are led by Pete Shalek (2x health tech exits, including a $600M acquisition by Optum) and Nitin Joshi (scaled Uber Eats + Health, Stripe Connect, and Bridge, acquired by Stripe for $1.1B). Beyond our founders, our team brings DNA from category leaders (Uber, Stripe, Meta), high growth unicorns, and top consulting firms.
Trajectory: We partner with leading independent provider groups across the U.S., automating hundreds of thousands of tasks each month. Scaling at 7x year-over-year with 300% NRR as customers consistently expand usage.
Funding: We have raised $39M from world class investors including Redpoint Ventures, General Catalyst, Primary Ventures, and BoxGroup.
About the role
Operations Specialists are the operators behind Valerie’s AI platform. Each specialist owns the operational delivery for a set of partner medical groups, ensuring their workflows run accurately, efficiently, and reliably.
You will serve as the primary operational owner (Ops POC) for assigned customers, responsible for maintaining high-quality execution while helping improve the systems and workflows that power Valerie’s platform.
For high-performing team members, this role offers meaningful growth opportunities within the first 6-12 months. As Valerie scales, strong operators often expand their scope beyond core workflow execution to drive process improvements, support automation initiatives, and help shape how operations runs across new partners and products.
Working inside a fast-growing AI-native company also provides exposure to how different parts of the business operate, including operations, engineering, and customer teams. This environment creates opportunities for strong performers to grow into new roles within Valerie over time, while developing skills that translate well across the broader startup ecosystem.

Maintain Quality and Data Integrity: Identify discrepancies, edge cases, and workflow issues and resolve or escalate them quickly to maintain platform reliability.
Improve Operational Systems: Identify opportunities to reduce manual work, improve workflow efficiency, and strengthen operational processes.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with Central Operations, Engineering, and Customer teams to surface issues, provide operational insights, and help improve the platform.
About you
Experience:
Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic track record or equivalent experience with a trajectory of high achievement.
Early-career candidates are encouraged to apply. Prior startup, operations, or healthcare experience is helpful but not required.
