Role Purpose

The AI Solutions Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end technical delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of AI solutions across TDW. This role designs, develops, integrates, tests, deploys, and supports AI capabilities that address approved business needs while ensuring compliance with security, governance, architectural, and data standards. The role also owns the technical AI foundation, including AI platforms, model management, cost optimisation, and AI engineering standards to enable scalable and sustainable AI adoption across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain AI solutions that support business objectives.

2. Translate approved AI use cases into scalable technical solutions and implementation plans.

3. Perform technical feasibility assessments and provide effort, cost, and implementation estimates.

4. Integrate AI capabilities with enterprise applications, platforms, and business processes.

5. Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve deployed AI solutions.

6. Manage AI platforms, tools, models, and supporting infrastructure.

7. Monitor AI service consumption and optimize performance, reliability, and operating costs.

8. Establish and enforce AI engineering, security, governance, and integration standards.

9. Collaborate with business, application development, and data teams to ensure successful delivery of AI initiatives.

10. Maintain technical documentation, reusable components, and best practices for AI development.

Experience

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

· Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting software or AI solutions in an enterprise environment.

· Experience integrating applications, data sources, APIs, and cloud services.

· Experience working with Azure-based services and modern development practices.

· Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.

Preferred Experience

· Experience with Microsoft Foundry & AI technologies, including Azure AI Services, Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI, and Microsoft Fabric.

· Experience with machine learning, large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI agents, or conversational AI solutions.

· Experience implementing AI governance, security, and compliance controls.

· Experience supporting production AI solutions and monitoring usage, performance, and costs.

· Experience working in Agile product development environments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Strong software engineering and solution design skills.

· Knowledge of AI, machine learning, generative AI, and modern cloud architectures.

· Understanding of data management, data quality, governance, and integration principles.

· Ability to evaluate technical feasibility, risks, and implementation trade-offs.

· Knowledge of enterprise security, privacy, and compliance requirements.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
