You won't just manage timelines—you will actively engage in architecture discussions, perform code reviews, build proof-of-concepts, and ensure high technical standards across our Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure, agentic AI frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • 1. People Management & Leadership
  • Lead & Mentor: Mentor a high-performing team of cloud, AI, and software engineers, providing active guidance and opportunities for career advancement.
  • Performance & Development: Conduct performance evaluations, regular check-ins, and appraisal cycles, offering constructive feedback and technical career growth plans.
  • Team Operations: Manage capacity planning, team health, and employee cases within your scope.
  • Talent Acquisition: Partner with recruitment to attract, interview, and onboard top engineering talent.
  • 2. Technical Execution & Delivery
  • Technical Guidance: Actively participate in architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and code reviews to ensure scalability, security, and high quality.
  • Delivery & Planning: Drive team commitments, sprint planning, and capacity to consistently deliver high-quality, on-time solutions.
  • Operational Excellence: Enforce engineering discipline, process adherence, and track key operational KPIs (e.g., deployment frequency, code quality, lead time).
  • Blocker Removal: Leverage your hands-on background to step into code or architecture to troubleshoot complex technical roadblocks, integration issues, and deployment bottlenecks.
  • 3. Organizational & Stakeholder Alignment
  • Resource Optimization: Optimize utilization of cloud infrastructure, software tools, and organization assets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, cybersecurity, product managers, and internal stakeholders to align engineering efforts with project goals.
  • Communication & Transparency: Maintain project documentation, risk tracking, and status reporting for stakeholders and leadership.
  • Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience
  • 8+ years of total experience in software development, cloud engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or solution architecture.
  • 3+ years of direct people management or technical team leadership experience, managing software or cloud engineering teams.
  • Technical Skills (Hands-On)
  • Software Engineering & Architecture: Strong backend or full-stack background (preferably Python), with a solid grasp of SDLC, OOP, and microservices design. Able to judge design quality and coach others on it.
  • Cloud Infrastructure (GCP): Delivery experience on a major cloud, GCP preferred and AWS or Azure accepted, including containers (Docker; Kubernetes/GKE or Cloud Run).
  • IaC & Automation: Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred) and familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • AI & Agentic Systems: Hands-on exposure and solid technical understanding of GenAI architectures, RAG, and agentic orchestration frameworks (e.g., LangGraph, AutoGen, Google GenAI SDK).
  • Quality & Testing: Practical experience establishing automated testing strategies (unit, integration, E2E), static code analysis, and code review standards.
  • Management & Interpersonal Skills
  • Proven Leadership: Demonstrated ability to motivate teams, navigate complex project constraints, and deliver on technical commitments.
  • Agile Management: Proficient in Agile/Scrum methodologies, capacity planning, and ticket tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
