The Associate Product Manager partners with Sales, Technology, Risk, Operations, Marketing, and other stakeholders to help deliver competitive, reliable, and client-focused Commercial Card solutions.
The successful candidate brings foundational Commercial Card and payments experience, strong analytical and organizational skills, and the ability to manage defined workstreams with appropriate guidance. This role is expected to build deeper product expertise, develop sound business judgment, and progressively assume greater ownership within the product portfolio.
· Support the execution of the Commercial Card product strategy and roadmap by managing assigned deliverables, product components, or defined workstreams.
· Assist with product lifecycle activities, including discovery, requirements gathering, business case support, testing, launch readiness, implementation, performance monitoring, and product enhancements.
· Conduct market, competitor, client, and industry research to identify trends, client needs, product gaps, and potential improvement opportunities.
· Gather, document, and help prioritize business and product requirements in partnership with clients, internal stakeholders, and more senior product managers.
· Coordinate with Sales, Technology, Risk, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and external providers to support timely delivery of product initiatives.
· Participate in client and partner discussions to gather feedback, clarify needs, and translate insights into recommended product or process improvements.
· Develop and maintain product documentation, sales materials, implementation resources, training content, and internal communications.
· Track key product measures, including card usage, transaction volume, revenue, profitability, client adoption, and customer experience; identify trends and escalate material findings.
· Support product risk and control activities by documenting issues, monitoring action plans, and helping ensure alignment with regulatory, operational, credit, and payment requirements.
· Assist in improving end-to-end product processes, including development, implementation, usage, reporting, feedback, and ongoing governance.
· Coordinate meetings, decisions, dependencies, risks, and action items across assigned initiatives, escalating barriers when appropriate.
· Prepare analyses, product updates, presentation materials, and recommendations for product leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
· Maintain current knowledge of Commercial Card, payments, digital tools, regulatory developments, and competitor activity, and apply that knowledge to assigned responsibilities.
Qualifications:
· 3-5 years of Commercial Card, payments, treasury management, banking product, or closely related experience, including practical exposure to corporate payment solutions and product delivery.
· Foundational knowledge of Commercial Card products, payment processing, client needs, industry practices, and relevant risk and regulatory considerations.
· Experience supporting product initiatives, projects, implementations, enhancements, or operational improvements from planning through delivery.
· Ability to gather and document business requirements, organize information, identify dependencies, and follow through on assigned actions.
· Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret product performance, customer behavior, market information, and reporting to identify trends and support recommendations.
· Clear written, verbal, presentation, and client-facing communication skills, including the ability to explain information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Ability to collaborate across teams, build productive working relationships, and contribute effectively in a cross-functional environment.
· Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, attention to detail, and structured problem-solving skills, with an openness to guidance and feedback.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and produce consistent, high-quality work in a changing environment.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other analytical or reporting tools used to organize data and communicate findings.
· Ability to work independently on defined assignments while recognizing when to seek direction, raise risks, or escalate decisions.
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in business, finance, product management, technology, or a related discipline preferred.
