What You Will Do *

  • Working under/within the Philippines Regulations for Customs and STMO, U.S. Regulations; Export Administration Regulation (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) and HTS related regulations
  • Perform Jurisdiction and Classification (J/C) analysis and validation (resolution of JC escalation, supplier escalation, etc.
  • Perform HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) classifications.
  • Support investigations and reviews of possible export and import compliance activities.
  • Analyze business needs (including technology needs) with respect to export authorization requirements
  • Maintains a compliance log for all blocked and released documents.
  • Support implementing of process, work instructions and business activities to ensure the correct classification and determination of JC, HS codes and Country of Origin
  • Provides support and work closely with PH Trade Compliance Team to achieve common target and goals.
  • Plays a critical role in ensuring compliance before the release and processing of key business documents like Sales Orders (SO), Purchase Orders (PO) for SAP GTS.
  • Ability to work independently and respond promptly to report requests.
  • Good communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and team player
  • Adheres to and participates in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self and others.

Qualifications You Must Have *

  • 1-2 years Classification experience or a familiarity with the process
  • 5 years of relevant experience with technical product information or engineering details
  • Engineering and/or technical background
  • Project management
  • Proven ability to deliver
  • Experience with classifications under the World Customs Organization (WCO), Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) is preferred
  • Experience with US Export (classification) Regulations; specifically, the EAR and the Commerce Control List (CCL), ITAR and the United States Munitions List (USML)
  • 1-3 years working with Global Trade and related export classification matters
  • Experience with Collins/RTX current trade compliance related processes (classifications, authorizations, logging, compliant transfer modes, record keeping, etc.) and Collins specific Global Trade related systems (GTS, OCR, MKDenial, xClass, TEXPORT) is a plus
