Leo Customer Terminal Engineering is looking for an individual who will join our antenna design team. This role is primarily focused on small antenna design across a variety of technologies and device form-factors. You will be responsible for the design, optimization and validation of high performance antennas in a dynamic and fast-paced development environment. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and experience with mass-production consumer electronics are an asset. A background with EM simulation software (CST, HFSS, FEKO) and experience correlating simulation to measurement results is critical.

• Key job responsibilities
• •EM simulation and modeling to inform expected antenna performance and required antenna volumes.
• •Antenna prototyping and correlation of measurement and simulation.
• •Element tuning and optimization.
• •Antenna location and interoperability assessments to ensure desense free performance.
• •Passive and active antenna characterization.
• •Compilation of antenna performance reports and presentation to senior leadership.
• •Cross-functional collaboration with mechanical, electrical, layout, ID, regulatory compliance and PM teams.
• •Factory test station and debug support for hardware builds.
• •Experience with Finite Element Analysis tools (e.g. Solidworks) to evaluate structural and thermal performance of antenna designs and how these designs will interact with the overall product assembly.
• •This role will require travel.

• Export Control Requirement:
• Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Basic qualifications

• - 4+ years of antenna design related to 3G/4G technologies , Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth products experience
• - Knowledge of antenna fundamental and radiation theory EM simulation experience
• - Experience with prototyping and implementation
• - Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• - Antenna and RF test and measurement expertise

Preferred qualifications

• - Knowledge of SolidWorks simulation or Ansys Finite Element analysis tools
• - Experience in the design of complex mechanical products and equipment at volume
• - Master's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
