Application Engineer - Custom IC

• The Application Engineer combines deep technical expertise with strong interpersonal and problem‑solving skills to support customers, drive technology adoption, and contribute to the successful deployment of Cadence Custom IC solutions.
• The role involves close collaboration with customers as well as with Cadence R&D and Product teams to help define, improve, and proliferate new solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• •Support customers adoption and effective use of Cadence Custom IC solutions.
• •Leveraging the Virtuoso environment and associated tools, to help customers address complex design challenges from concept to successful deployment.
• •Drive technical campaigns, product evaluations, and benchmarks within a customer‑facing and technically challenging environment.
• •Provide methodology guidance, best‑practice recommendations, and technical problem resolution
• •Work closely with customers to understand their design challenges and propose appropriate solutions.
• •Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, and Marketing teams to drive product improvements and solution proliferation

Requirements

• •BSc in Electrical Engineering.
• •Solid understanding of analog / mixed‑signal IC design flows within Cadence Virtuoso Studio environment.
• •6+ years of relevant industry experience in IC design, CAD, or application / technical support roles.
• •Experience in UNIX environments; knowledge of SKILL, Python, or similar scripting languages is an advantage
• •Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• •Customer‑oriented, motivated, and professional working attitude
