As a Senior Application Support Engineer at Capgemini, you will play a key role in ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of enterprise applications built on Java and Microsoft technologies. You will combine technical support expertise with development capabilities to resolve complex incidents, implement enhancements, and drive operational excellence. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help maintain critical business services while contributing to innovation and long-term application reliability.

Your Role

Responsibilities & Scope

• •Support business-critical enterprise applications across Java, .NET, SQL Server, and hybrid infrastructure environments.
• •Take ownership of complex incident investigations, problem resolution, and root-cause analysis to ensure service continuity.
• •Deliver minor enhancements, defect fixes, and technical improvements that create measurable business value.
• •Collaborate with global teams, business stakeholders, and technology partners to address operational and technical challenges.
• •Contribute to application releases, deployments, testing activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• •Gain exposure to diverse technologies, enterprise-scale systems, and modern support practices within a collaborative global environment.

Your Profile

• •Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, with the ability to investigate, diagnose, and resolve complex application issues across multiple technology stacks.
• •Technical proficiency in enterprise application environments, including Java and/or .NET technologies, SQL-based solutions, and integrated application ecosystems.
• •Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across business, functional, infrastructure, and vendor teams to achieve shared objectives.
• •Ownership, accountability, and a customer-focused approach when managing incidents, enhancements, releases, and operational support activities.

Is fully competent in its own area and has a deep understanding of related programming concepts software design and software development principles. Works autonomously with minimal supervision. Able to act as a key contributor in a complex environment, lead the activities of a team for software design and software development. Acts proactively to understand internalorexternal client needs and offers advice even when not asked. Able to assess and adapt to project issues, formulate innovative solutions, work under pressure and drive team to succeed against its technical and commercial goals. Aware of profitability needs and may manage costs for specific projectorwork area. Explains difficult concepts to a variety of audiences to ensure meaning is understood.
