Applications Engineer

Job Summary:

Flowserve is looking for a technically and commercially experienced Applications Engineer. In this function you will develop solutions for customers and partners for industrial and special applications.

You will act as a product specialist (industrial pumps product portfolio) in a team and work closely with the sales, development and other specialist departments at the site.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

• •Prepare quotations by evaluating customers’ requirements and provide quotation responses by sizing, specifying and pricing valves in accordance with customers’ specifications
• •Prepare technically sound and cost-effective quotations, in order to contribute to obtaining related sales and bookings growth
• •Prepare detailed, complete and correct purchase order transfer files for proper transfer into our respective manufacturing operations
• •Participate in bid clarification meetings with the customers
• •Develop a keen understanding of the Flowserve product lines and their respective operations to enhance application engineering, quotation generation and sales support efforts

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• •Ideally 2 years of relevant experience as an Applications Engineer or similar role such as Inside Sales Representative, Engineer
• •Bsc degree ideally in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business or related field
• •Working proficiency in English (any other language, especially across the CEE region would be a strong advantage)
• •Strong technician acumen and analytical thinking
• •SAP knowledge Experience in dealing with common MS Office applications
• •Good communication skills
